Innovative Math Learning with Montessori Math City
Montessori Math City, developed by EDOKI ACADEMY, is an educational app designed to teach children aged between 5 and 7 years old about the Decimal System and Place Value. This innovative approach ensures that children learn to count up to 1000 in a fun and interactive way.
The app incorporates Montessori materials such as the golden beads and the Seguin (or Tens) board to help children understand the concept of tens and units. By using these materials, children can visually see that ten units equal a Ten, twenty is 2 Tens, and so on.
Montessori Math City is built like a progressive game, where children unlock fun City items in each level, such as cars, ferris wheels, ambulances, houses, and buildings. As children practice counting and making numbers, they are rewarded with these unlocked items, allowing them to play in their own unique City.
The app offers two different ways to learn numbers and understand the Decimal System: the Montessori golden beads and the Seguin (or Tens) Board, as well as the number blocks. It also includes a quiz with a Dynamic Progression Algorithm to track each child's progress individually for adaptive learning.
In addition, Montessori Math City provides a secured "Note to parents" that explains the pedagogy behind the app, ensuring parents understand the educational value it offers.
